More...DURING AN AUTUMN BREAK from college, three friends and I traveled up the East Coast to see the sights. We spent a day in Manhattan visiting St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Empire State Building, Fifth Avenue, and Central Park. It was twilight and we stopped to purchase roasted chestnuts and soft pretzels from a street vendor in Times Square.
